Cash machines Abroad

Hi

I have a Nationwide account to use while on Holiday for withdrawing money. Is there somewhere that I can check location of Cash machines where I am travelling to.

As long as your not going to somewhere in the middle of no where you should be fine. Most cash machines a broad will take english cards especially if you The 'MAESTRO &/or CIRRUS' symbols on them.

When ever I have been abroad i have taking Euro's or travellers cheque because you will be charged for using the machines over there and it can be exspesive if using it quite a lot.

These should help - though, as already mentioned, you are unlikely to have any problem finding cash machines in all major cities/capitals and tourist destinations around the world. (other than, in my own experience Laos and some parts of China can be a bit hit and miss)

In addition to the lack of charges by Nationwide, you'll get much better best transaction rates than using foreign exchanges. I now only use my nationwide card, a spare credit card for emergencies and sometimes US dollars in cash (depending on the country), wherever I go.
