Does anybody know if I take my Pure Move DAB radio on holiday to Italy, will I be able to receive my usual DAB programmes or will I just pick up local radio?

No you will only get local DAB. It's a bit like FM in terms of reception distance. No free lunch, and no free laptop

if DAB is broadcast in italy, you will receive any of the italian DAB stations.
Similarly, the stations you receive in Liverpool, are different to what i receive here. there are only 2 national DAB Multiplexes, which are the BBC, and Digital 1. Everything else is regional.
So, in a nutshell, you'll get any italian dab stations, if they broadcast using the same DAB frequencies / technologies as the UK0
