Hi,
I have recently set up a new Corporate Clothing business, but am finding when advertising that having just a mobile number looks unprofessional. I cannot put a landline in at the moment for other reasons, but am looking to buy an 0845 number to divert calls to my mobile.
Anyone know of any good companies to go with, preferably with inclusive minutes??
Thanks,
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

whats wrong with a Free geographic number from sipgate
http://www.sipgate.co.uk/user/index.php
and use VOIP, join up , chose number and download the software. All you need then is a plug in headset to answer calls if at the PC, or it takes answerphone messages if offline (message can be recorded by you)Ex forum ambassador

That would be ok if front of the pc, but again, a lot of calls if i'm out and about i think it also looks unprofessional not answering the call, going to a voicemail, and may lose potential customers because of this.

"Buy" an 0845 number?? Only pay for one if you want a specific number, otherwise there are any number of free 0845 number suppliers on the web. I've used these guys a few times;

But Google "free 0845 numbers" and you will find thousands of others.0 -
You should stick to the SIP protocol solution. There are many suppliers as well as Sipgate, but they look pretty good to me. My reasons for this are simple:
1) Many people prefer a standard geographical number as they are much cheaper/free to call, especially from a mobile
2)Have a look at the cost of diverting 0845 to a mobile!!!
If you are trying to give the impression of being larger than you are (the main reason salespeople use to promote 0845 etc) then you have 2 options:
1)Get a FREE 0845 that diverts to your SIP number (which is free, then divert that to your mobile if needed)
2)Just get more SIP numbers, in different locations. That way you can advertise, for example, your London, Manchester and Kent contact numbers, either together on one national advert (to give the impression of being a national company) or individually in area targeted adverts, when aiming at local custom.
