screw a large screw halfway into the plug, and pull it out with a pair of pliers.
or cut it down with a sharp stanley blade and fill over the top.
sometimes you can just bash it in with a hammer. and fill over.Get some gorm.0 -
As Ormus said normally does the job, dont screw it in too far as the plug tend to expand, just a couple of turns should do trick. Sometimes they can break up then I use long nose pliers0

i usualy pop in a screw a few turns, and use the "nail removing" end of a hammer, a bit of thick cardboard to protect the wall and leaver it out - easy peasy...
only downside to removing rawplugs is it pulls a bit of the plaster off with it - just need to fill it and sand it down!0 -

"Rawlplug" is a brand name... "wall plug" is generic0

The alternative is to punch the plug into the wall and fill the small hole left behind. Otherwise the screw in wall method usually works.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

If it is a pain coming out then putting a screw a little way in, hammer in a few times, take the screw out and then fill over the top. Saves chunks of plaster coming out and saves potetnially denting the wall by hammering directly at the plug.0
