Ive just been given a D60 as a pressie.
Can anyone advise me if I can see the image Im going to take on the screen at the back? ie like a point and shoot?
(I know this sounds dumb but Im a newbie regarding DSR cameras)
Thanks in advance

The D60 does not have live view so you have to use the viewfinder. Nice little camera tough so have fun with it.0

I thought that was the case, but just wanted to check in case I was missing something! Fit Likeee!:j0 -
Good luck with that one, everybody struggles with their first DSLR, but keep at it, read the manual, learn about aperture (F) and depth of field and takes lots and lots of photo's.
As a guide, when I brought my D40 i'd take 10 photo's and get 1 good one, 10:1. Now after nearly 4'000 images im down to about 3:1.
Takes practice, but it's all good fun

The viewfinder is the best and only place to see an image on a DSLR. You get an accurate pic of what your taking and the view is clear and unimpeded by sunlight etc.
I have the D40. Great camera .Its as simple or as complex as you want it to be.0
