Intresting as my parents are kinda the other way around.
Both just turned 60 this year, live in France permanently, dad is piggybacking mum's pension, but to get his benefit sorted, he had to ring Newcastle to send all the info for the French benefits, which he did, and now every time he goes to his local welfare office they keep saying he needs to get back to Newcastle for forms, Newcastle say they have given him everything, he knows he has everything, but the local benefits offices overthere don't get told by the government that ex pats can be paid....
he is going round and round in circles, he knows he has all the paperwork they want and has given them this, but they still insist that there is more.. Newcastle are pulling their hair out so is my dadLife is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -

What benefits are you talking about?
If you mean entry into the French health care system then your mother needs to get an E121 from Newcastle and present it to the appropriate body in France - probably CPAM.
If you mean your mother's state pension then she gets that paid from the UK
I don't think that there are any other benefits ie. Pension Credit that can be claimed in France.0 -

They are now both in the healthcare system and have their cards, but dad wants to get his pension, only he can't... see above, mum has her's (hopefully) any day now, but dad has to piggy back on it, until he can get his independently, I'm sure that he has the E121 and has handed it over to the CPAM
But thanks for replyingLife is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -

I didn't know that men could get their pension earlier by being married to a younger woman; are you sure about that? In any case, if it's just the normal pension it has nothing to do with France; she claims it normally through the UK although they can pay it direct into a French bank account.
I'd post your query on one of the ex pat forums; I'd recommend https://www.totalfrance.com0 -
can anyone tell me where i can go about a query on E303 forms.. A friend of mine came over from Sweden on one and he was informed that he had to get a NI number and was then seen to as a British Citizen which he is not
The end of Post 7 covers what he needs to do, he will need an NI number which will be issued as part of the cliam process everyone legaly working or claiming in the UK needs a NI number but it does not make them a british citzen.0
