Mini DVD to DVD

Hi all, tried search but cannot fnd what I want.

I have a Hitachi camcorder which uses mini dvd. How do I get a couple/several of these recordings onto a standard or DL DVD? I have tried Nero but cant seem to get it right.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

MiniDVD is the same format as normal DVD, just a smaller form factor.

You can use IMGBURN to create an Iso and then burn them to a dvd. You might need to rename the VTS folders to be in consecutive order; vts_1 , vts_2 etc.

ImgBurn is free and very good.

That's what I thought, but can't seem to transfer the files to a DV that will play on either my PC or PS3

What kind of files are on the disc?

They all appear to be VTS files. Of course, when I try to put two sets of disks in the same folder the PC wants to rename them.

Just glad the DVD of our recent helicopter ride from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon came through today from Sundance. Gives me a bit of time before OH starts giving me grief.........lol

You could use something like HandBrake to convert the DVDs to mp4 files for viewing on your computer or PS3.
