If anyone could hel2003p I would be really grateful. I on a DMP with the CCCS and currently owe a total of around £19,000. Recently I came across this website and was reading around reclaiming PPI insurance. Since around 2003 I have had loans with PPI and have always been told I should take it out or just presumed it was part of the package. I have recently checked out my loans and past loans and credit cards and always settled the debt earlier than the term had finished. ( I took on other credit to do this without realising the long term impact would be more debt). My first question is have I still got a case for reclaiming PPI on these settled early loans and cards. (I have no idea what I paid for these have no longer got the paperwork). And would I have paid less PPI because I settled earlier?
My second question relates to my creditors I am currently paying an agreed amount to with the CCCS regarding two loan companies (well-known and one has been fined for missold PPI). I know I have been missold PPI at the time with both these creditors and I have paid a bit of the loans off until I broke the credit agreements. Where would I stand now if I began to reclaim PPI? Would it make things worse because up till now I have had no trouble from them and although I have defaulted they have froze all interest and are allowing me to pay the amount I can afford?
I you have any ideas or wisdom of knowledge I would love to hear from you!

Hi there
Not a problem, it does not matter if you have a DMP and with the CCCS, if you were mis sold then you have every right to try to reclaim on your money of PPI, plus the interest.;)
Do you still have the loans paperwork, such as the agreements?
If not it does not matter really just as long as you have the account numbers, you can find these on online banking if you bank online, when you paid for these loans every month by direct debit the loan account numbers should be next to the loan repayments.
If you do want these write to them and enclose a £1 postal order or cheque payment, they have 12 days to supply these to you. (They cost a £1 for each one).
In regards of reclaiming, the link below has the guidelines to reclaiming and templates.
Write your own reasons.
They have 8 weeks to respond in full.

Another letter may be required if they don't resolve this matter first time round, they should let you know if you can do this, and the final letter should give details of the financial ombudsman service (FOS) if your not satisfied with the outcome.
Good luck and post up for help when required and remember to post by recorded delivery.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
