I have a question about the expected return - dunstonh says he/she's been impressed so far - Fidelity say they're expecting a return of 7 - 9% - is that them being conservative? Is that a good rate for this type of fund?
I'm considering a small initial investment and then a regular monthly contribution, for my 2006/07 ISA.

I think 7-9% should be realistic. Saving monthly does reduce the risk though.

Please remember though that this is not the same as investing in Cash, and negative returns could certainly be possible at some time in the future. If you are not prepared to accept the possibilty of any losses you should perhaps stick to cash ISAs.

That said I switched some of my ISA holding to this fund the week it launched
