New brathroom quote - does this seem about right

Options
I'm looking to have my bathroom redone and have had a few poeople out to give me quotes. I live in Paisley, near Glasgow.

So far I've only had one come back to me with a price and I wanted to ask if this sounded reasonable.

The job involves removing a corner bath, 1200 shower enclosure wc, and wash hand basin and replacing each with new units in the same positions. I will probably be going for a Dorchester suite from Heritage Bathrooms.

Removing approx 18m2 of wall tiles and 5m2 of floor tiles and retiling with new tiles and relining walls if required.

Installing a Mira sport electric shower and three recessed ceiling lights.

There is also WC waste pipe under the floor that needs to be replaced.

The price I have been quoted is £5,400 excluding the cost of the tiles.

I would appreciate any comments on this price.

Based in prices i charge in Edinburgh for kitchen and bathroom fitting i would say its about right

Heritage are part of the bristan group so expect a 40% discount on retail prices

Sounds about 8-9 days work if removing plaster and dot and dabbing plasterboard

Is the wiring there already for the shower?

The price quoted includes the supply & filling of the Dorchester suite.

The only thing not included is the tiles, and the fitter recommended a few places where he has an account and he will buy them for me giving me the benefit of his trade discount.

There isn't any wiring for a shower at the moment and the supply needs to be taken from the ground floor to the 1st floor bathroom.
