Got to ask sorry....
Just aquired this, got no memory untill I can order some from Ebay and was wondering if it's true, that these machines will take standard unbuffered PC2700???

Ok thanks, thats the memory sorted.
Next to the storage....
This system supports ultra 320, but I dont have any drives. What I do have however are SATA drives. Now I'm sure again that I read somewhere that the system supports SAS. Would this just be a case of getting a star cable and plugging the SCSI interface into the connector on the board and the other ends into the SATA drives, or do I need a SAS controller?
If not I have an older SCSI U3 controller and a spare drive I can chuck in for now...To travel at the speed of light, one must first become light.....0 -
If you intend to use SATA drives, I think you'll be needing this, along with one of these.0
