Anthony Minghella’s Olivier Award-winning Madam Butterfly returns to English National Opera for 11 performances as a tribute to the life of the remarkable film director who won great acclaim for his Oscar-laden The English Patient. With Puccini’s beautiful music, sumptuous sets and stunning costumes, the Sunday Times described the production as ‘the hottest opera ticket in London’. Madam Butterfly is staged at the London Coliseum from June 10 to July 10 2009.
