Hi all,
i have never looked at what i get charged for gas & electric and just pay the bill by DD every month. Decided now to investigate and also look around and see whether im on the right tarriff or with the cheapest supplier around. Hope someone can help me out.
I take dual fuel from npower and been with them for 8 years now. I think i also get a £100 dual fuel discount from them.
I know nothing about kWH or other terms so looked at bill for some info.
Last 6 months gas bill (Tariff: Sign Online 10) = 13525 kWH = £ 461.27 + VAT at 5% = 23.06. Total £484.33
Last 6 months electricity bill (Tariff Standard Sign Online 12) = 1908 kWH = £238.34 + VAT at 5% = £11.91. Total = £ 252.25
Ive got online paperless billing. Am i on the best available tariff with npower and do these figures seem reasonable for a 3 bed house that i have with average consumption ?
I'll also appreciate any recommendations on any other providers. Thanks for all your time and help in advance.
Regards,
Sunny

You need your annual consumption figures for an accurate comparison.
Just enter those annual figures in energyhelpline(the link is at the top of the gas and electricity forum) and it will tell you if you are on the best tariff.
However I think you are probably on the cheapest tariff. or very close to it.0
