Anyone know how to get in touch with these people?

I ran a credit check on myself and discovered that I've got a credit card with them (presumably from an interest free agreement of some years ago?) which, although unused, is still active -- and I want to close it!

Strangely, Google is no help!

Are you sure this wasn't an interest free HP plan for a Computer with Time Computers? If so they went bankrupt last year. I am not sure if they have an address you can contact them on.

That was my first reaction :-) Except I never purchased a Time computer!

Apparently (what Google could tell me) was that Time Retail Finance were the credit folks for the Kingfisher group (Comet / Woolworths etc), but were sold a few years ago. What happened then, I cannot say.

I suspect I *did* purchase something on interest free through Comet some years ago and they gave me a card (which I immediately destroyed) with a credit limit on it, to encourage you to spend more. When the interest free was paid off, I just assumed the account was closed.

THAT all said, I've read elsewhere on the forums that an account that is "Settled" is closed. Which is great. However I'm also being told on the credit report that the account is "inactive but not closed". So I'm note sure what to think?

They were sold to GE Capital Bank in 2002, so that may be a starting point for you. Having said that, can't Experian/Equifax help?

Your credit report should have a list of useful addresses for all the credit providers listed.
Alternatively, here is some info that might help you.

time retail finance was what comet used and is now part of GE, contact GE they should be able to help as they are the one who took control of all thier customer accounts.

I recived mine as I purchased something through Comet.

Try calling Comet to see if they have the number - if you have no joy, if you can wait a few days until my statement comes through I will print CS number then

Hi, Does anyone know how or who to contact to cancel a 'Timecard' credit card?

My partner has just discovered the card she cut up years ago has matured from a £250 limit to a rather annoying £2500 limit through an equifax credit report.

Apart from uneccessarily hiking up the available credit to her, we are really worried that it will expire and a new card will be sent to our previous rented address and fall into the wrong hands.

Help please anybody.

I am not bitter but I absolutely hate with a passion Talk Talk and the Carphone warehouse.
All we wanted to do was break our 12 month contract when we moved house, we were more than willing to pay the £70 fee. but no, no, no, no, no.

Now we have three unsettled credit agreements on our credit file belong to them. Arghhhhhh!!!!!!
How do we get them removed, it took us 3 months to willingly pay them to cancel.
Rubbish, absolute rubbish.

B and Q trade accounts are run by them so your local B and Q should be able to give you the number
