I can do a version of that. With me, it's my belly that wobbles.

Thanks Green. The 4 grand a year challenge is a bit deceptive. I may have to pull that bit off as I was too busy working and too knackered to bother keeping records for a while.
As for the amount of debt that I've repaid since the year start, in one way it's better than it looks because that starting figure actually went up briefly and nudged 53 grand. So I've actually repaid about 7 grand since February. On the minus side, I haven't been putting money aside for my January '10 tax bill. That will be a big one because I had a big jump in profits during the relevant period and I will be nobbled for the money owing AND a large payment on account. So, after my holiday next month, it looks like it will be minimum payments to all debts for a few months and transferring every spare pound to the taxman. I just hope the LIBOR rates stay low as I come off my fixed rate mortgage very soon. Each percentage point will represent £70 a month so I have potential for trouble ahead.
I may yet have to re-arrange my debt repayments but should be OK so long as rates stay low for 18 months or so. That way, I can reduce my debts substantially leaving room for some mortgage fluctuation. There is no chance of me getting another mortgage deal due to LTV ratio, the need to self cert (if anyone is still doing that), and, quite probably, my age comes into play now.

Phew bit late at night reading that Paul :rotfl:thought we'd scared you off with all this saucy phone call talks!!!!

You've still done really well tho! I know what you mean about the mortgage and interest rates, I don't want it to go up for a long while yet as my repayments are over £200 less amonth at the moment!! so fingers crossed it stays low for a good while yet and hope you manage to sort something out I'm sure you will Paul good luck
