A Payment A Day Part 4

Hi All
It's the first of the month and so it is the day when I update my debt totals on my spreadsheet and in my sig. The big news for me this month is that my total non-mortgage debt has now dropped below £30K! Woohoo! It is such a good feeling that is now £20K something, rather than £40K something, which is what it was originally! Feeling very proud of myself today!
Today's PAD is £10.01 to Evil EggPigginSkint's debt free diary

Just a quick post to say I'm still around but fell of the wagon somewhat, money is really tight and my debt has increased, (gonna go and update sig shortly)It's not through anything extravagant my washer broke , we had 2 weddings and another one in 2 weeks , the holiday deposit had to be paid , digi box decided not to work any more & kids had day trips to pay for, not usually a problem but all in one month it has been:mad:
So will start Padding again soon as soon as there is anything to PAD, lol.
Got some extra casual work so hopefully that will help get the debt back down a bit quicker, got some stuff on eBay finishing next week after that will probably go on the hunt for even more work.Total Debt 10/5/2009, £2189.10, 1/6/09 £1420.75
1/7/09 £1661.66, after 2 holidays 1/9/09 £1725.36

Updated my signature:eek: and realized i can make a PAD of £25.00 to MBNA today though still a bit unsure about tomorrows?
Just had a look through the credit card tab on the main site and managed to transfer £1000 of my highest interest debt over to virgin 0% for 16 months so that takes alot of pressure off as i can now concentrate on paying off the smaller amounts that are still being charged interest first and close a bank account :T.
Right off to phone them up to ask them to send me some payment slips
Oh and i also phoned mobile company and reduced my contract down to the minimum package, i never use all the minutes anyway so thats an extra £5 a month saved.Total Debt 10/5/2009, £2189.10, 1/6/09 £1420.75

Wow Paul - what amazing totals, thank you for doing them for us. Well done everyone for paying so much off!
I'm going to start my July PAD with £200 overpayment to the mortgage. Have a great day xx0 -
After weeks of hassling Abbey, I've finally been promised £20 back that they owe me. It all centred around a £20 cheque in mid May that a customer bounced on me. The issue was sorted quite quickly with the customer with apologies. A good, reliable customer who made a mistake. Can happen to any of us. However, Abbey deducted two lots of £20 several days apart. When the second cheque wasn't sent back to me, I started asking for it. It's only this morning that I have found out that it wasn't two separate cheques at all but an incorrectly duplicated transaction. Of course, this only happens on a month when they slash my overdraft by £1,100 making money extremely tight. I need some diesel this morning and I have a fiver in my pocket. It will get me through today anyway. That £20 could have allowed me to put enough in for a few days.
I'm gradually moving my business banking over to the Co-op. The only reason I'm holding fire on my personal banking is because there is still a £700 overdraft facility which I may need to lean on for some while. I may ask Co-op if they're prepared to match it (unlikely as I'm a new customer). If they do, I will be off.
There are other issues with Abbey business banking that I won't go into here. I don't switch banks over one or two mistakes. There is a general systemic failure at Abbey management level to grasp the needs of small businesses and it sometimes makes it difficult for me to even run a one man window cleaning business effectively. God help anyone who has lots of BACS payments coming in from one off customers. You would never know who had paid and who hadn't.0 -

Enjoy your freedom for the next 15 months;)
I got really annoyed at a woman for stepping out in front of me, she looked right at me before stepping out into the road so had to do an emergency stop to avoid her! It was a really busy Sat in town and it was boiling hot so was annoyed anyway and she looked at me like I shouldn't have been there and started muttering to her pal...I got so angry with her I launched a fag outta the window at her and drove awayI don't normally get road rage but she infuriated me!

Hi all, another 50p to my Barclaycard. Off out soon with my sister to look for something for my mum's 50th birthday - don't know what to get.
It's too clammy and I've hurt my foot - would rather not move to be honest. My mother is so inconsiderate having her birthday in July!:D
