Game station

Fab fab fab.

Went into game station yesterday to get my OH Guitar hero - Metallica with guitar for the xbox 360 as he's been borrowing a mates guitar hero 3 and loving it and kept hinting he wanted the Metallica one.

It was £79.99.

Guy came back and apologised as they had no metallica guitars and said they shouldn't be advertising that particular game for sale when they have no guitars, so he took that product case off display.

Because of the mistake he offered me:

- Metallica game (£49.99)
- Guitar (£14.99)
- Guitar hero 3 with guitar (£39.99)

For £79.99, so actually came away with 2 guitars and 2 games as apposed to what i orginally was going to buy (1 game, 1 guitar).

OH was over the moon when i bought them home. Now i have the afternoon to myself as well as he's gone off to a mates house to play the games.

I quite like Gamestation. The staff are usually very knowledgable and friendly, if tatooed and body-pierced. The deal on Pokemon Platinum recently was excellent.

Again, always had good interactions with the staff out our local, always happy, smiling and keen to answer even the stupidest of questions (my pre-nicotine questions :D)

You think they're pierced? You want to try CEX. Facial piercings seem to be compulsory there.

What puts me off THAT shop (when I am dragged in by DS and DD) is the odour of -erm- perspiration...all those hormonal teens....

  • I always find the staff at gamesstaion to be very helpful and knowledgable. The only thing that bugs me is the way there is hardly any room to move in the stores I have been in and god forbid you have to bend down to look on the bottom shelf, as you get knocked over and pushed about. But I bought a second hand game at the store in Lancaster after phoning around for a certain game and they had a copy second hand. So they held it for me shot up motorway to get it, got home put it in machine and it didn't work. So phoned them up and they said they had no more copies but I could take the game to my local store in Blackpool and they would refund it. Got to the Blackpool store and explained what had happened and they kindly swapped it for a rand new never used one instead at no extra cost.
