in Credit cards
Hi, complete newbie, so please bear with me!
I have 6 credit cards, with current balances on three (other 3 balance £0).
I recently applied for, and got a Nectar Amex and transferred £3,500 to it from Sainsburys Visa. Now realise how stupid I have been and want to transfer to a 0%.
Have just this evening applied for Halifax BS Visa for 0% and have been declined.
I wanted a total balance transfer for £4,500 from the 3 cards. Does this mean everyone is now going to turn me down?
I have an income in excess of £30k, no bad rating as far as I know. I also note that many cards are issued by Halifax RBS, does this mean I cant approach them now I have been turned down by Halifax BS? Can anyone suggest who to try now?
Many thanks, R.

You may have been turned down by Halifax because you have a Sainsbury's card (they're both run by HBoS).
On the other hand, Halifax may have thought you already had too much 'available' credit - why keep (3) cards with a zero balance?
Close down all unused cards, wait until they are shown as 'settled' on your credit file (sign up for a free 30-day trial or spend £2 on a statutory report), and then apply for a card that is not run by one of your existing providers - especially if you want to carry out a BT.
