Travelodge London Docklands

Can anyone recommend somewhere reasonably priced to eat near this travelodge? I am travelling from Scotland with dd and want somewhere close and reasonably priced to eat the first evening as probably won't want to venture too far.

The Travelodge has a bar/bistro. When we arrived, our room wasn't ready, so the boys and me had pizzas in there and they were really tasty.

The area the lodge is in, is all office blocks so there is nobody about on an evening and no places to eat. I would recommend travelling back into London on the DLR and finding somewhere to eat there.
Here I go again on my own....

    How much were the pizzas?

Sorry but I can't remember the prices. It was reasonble though.

As I recall they also served pasta dishes and a few other meals too.

I used to run a Diner's Club in London Docklands. There are so many places to eat, I don't know where to begin!
If you don't want to travel far, come out of the hotel and either walk or catch the no: 15 bus (same side of road as hotel, bus stop should be almost outside) for 2 stops to 'All Saints church', or walk straight along the main road, a few tricky crossings. It'll take about 5mins walking (or 10 if you are slow like me).
At all saints (opposite side of road where the bus drops you), there is a Domino Pizza, Fish & chip shop, Ho-Lee Vietnamise, Chinese Noodle house (set price about £5 each for good food), Indian buffet (all you can eat, not great food, but edible and cheap), Halal fried chicken take away. It really is only a stone throw from the hotel, only now I can't remember if the hotel entrance faces onto the main road, or the back. That will be obvious once you are there, seeing it.
If you want to know any other places to eat, let me know. You are on the DLR link there so well placed for getting around. There are some excellent places to eat on the Isle of Dogs, but some are quite pricey. There are also some tucked away reasonably priced ones.
There is a place along the same bus route (15) about 5 or 6 stops up, called 'Wings'. The bus stops right outside the restaurant. Its an all you can eat and really really good value at £9.50 evening meal, £5 luchtime. It has over 50 different dishes, including starters, mains, soups, desserts and well worth a visit while you are here.
Hope this helps. Enjoy your stay.

I wish I'd known they were all there when I stopped there. The staff told me there was nothing in walking distance!

Recommend Wings, excellent value for as much as you can eat (we go there lunchtimes when it is even cheaper!!!!!)
No Matter what you do there will be critics.

This seems a bit unfair. I guess asking on MSE is a better way :)
