BGas Homecare Cover Renewal huge increase
Mum had her letter through this week, had jumped from £17.50 (homecare 400) to £37 when she called they said she had 2 boilers covered & reduced to £28 she said still too much so they reduced to a flex package which was the same but wuth £50 excess for parts. Ours came through (homecare 300) £26.90 and we had a leaflet from the paper stating the price of £22.50 so we called as our price supposedly included a £25 discount for not using them, after a load of non-sense we told BG that we would cancel she went of to discuss with manager & offered £23 - still more than advertised so stuck with cancelling she eventually mentioned the flex package for £15pm.

£17.50 for hc 400 ? ... hc 200 is £17 a month for new customers. Your mothers second year is judged by tailored pricing, this is where BG take into consideration the age make and model of the boiler. Price also varies on region as it is more expensive in the likes of london. With two boilers each boiler is charged the same.
When tailored pricing starts it reflects on the wholesale parts charge set by manufacturers.
You cannot expect someone with a 1 bedroom flat to pay the same as someone with a 3 bedroom semi dettached either due to the amount radiators. His Heart Proved He Was A RedSuarez, SuarezWe Bought The Lad From AmsterdamWe Know He's Not a Chelsea Fan.Fernando Torres = El Judas0 -

That is exactly what BG did charge - at least until I cancelled Homecare 18 Months ago.
I have a large house and a 1 bedroom annex(a detached cottage) with a seperate CH system.
Their prices were exactly the same for both CH systems. Even though the CH system is more up to date than the main house.
I was always very happy with the service I got from BG, but as far as I am concerned they have priced themselves out of the market for a lot of people - well myself anyway.0
