Keeping an e-mail address

We're changing from Virgin to Sky as we wanted the HD TV channels but this also means we're moving the phone and broadband. Does anyone know if my old ntlworld.com e-mail address will stop working when our Virgin broadband is disconnected.

    With Virgin Broadband, if you switch providers, your ISP email address will be shut down. According to their terms and conditions page, Virgin state that you will lose your ‘email address and any uncollected email.’

    Get yourself a Google mail account and you will be ready for the change over, and not dependent on your ISP for your email account.
    That gum you like is coming back in style.

    Does Googlemail work with Outlook. If possible I'd like a free account that does.

    Yahoo mail also works with Outlook now...and so does Hotmail if you install the Outlook Connector

    Do what I did and email all your emails over to a free account before your Virgin account is shut down. Also make a note of all your contacts.
