I bought a satnav system from E-buyer a while ago and it broke down so I aranged for a refund (no problems on that front) but here is the problem.. In between the time that I bought it and the time that I had the refund I closed my Bank account to which I payed for it on a Visa debt card.. I wrote to the bank they have said they have not received any payments, I wrote to E-buyer they said they have refunded the full amount and that it is an issue to take up with the bank.. the bank will not budge.. Who is liable? The only certain thing is someone has got my money..

Hi Dual, I think I would ask ebuyer for proof of them actioning a refund in the first place, send a copy of that proof to the bank, if they do not budge then take the case up with the Financial Ombudsman and see if they can assist you. HTH.0 -
Ebuyer should have a transaction ID for the refund. Ask them for that and check it with the bank?0

Thanks all to your replies.. The account was a business one, so not sure about the refund into another account.. I shall ask E-buyer about the ref number and go from there..0
