DVD to DVD help please

I have had my old home videos of my girls transferred to DVD and I'd like to make copies for my ex husband for Fathers day.

I have copied the files for each disk onto folders on my external hard drive and thought I could just copy the contents of the folders onto the DVD-Rs but I'm having problems.

The DVD-Rs are 4.7GB and the file sizes are 3.11GB - 4.35GB but its keeps saying there isnt enough space to copy the files Is there any other way to just make a straight copy of each disk? Will they work as a DVD like the original?

If you have a program such as Nero, Roxio Easy cd creator (Is that what its still called?) or NTL cd maker - any of these should work. If not download a copy of ImgBurn (Free)

Use DVD DECRYPTOR or DVD SHRINK to put the files onto the hardrive (in a folder called VIDEO_TS)
Then BURN that folder using IMGBURN

or use DVD Shrink to turn the DVD straight into an ISO (image) and then burn the image using IMGBURN

Not sure why it is made so complicated. Why use DVD Shrink?

She just needs to copy the discs that she has now.

ImgBurn will do the trick alone.
