I think i'm going to move on from the repo house i was outbidded on and look for something else. Otherwise, i can just see a giant cat and mouse game going on for a couple of wks!
Plus it's too risky when you consider what needs to be done to the property, would like to avoid bidding war, so am going to admit defeat.
I have also been pondering whether I would want a 2 bed terrace all to myself, to rattle around in.
Am viewing a quarter house later, effectively a one bedroom flat but with an upstairs and downstairs. It's nicely decorated with garden area, vacant possession [owner has moved in with partner] and for sale at 79k. So possibly a bargain to be had! Have checked online with other similar properties in the area, of which the dimensions are pretty much the same, but some are priced at 85k.
Will report back later on my findings! :j

A 2 bedroom place is always more appealing than a 1 bedroom place. My own personal opinion is that it's better to have too much space than not enough.
Two bedroomed properties are much easier to sell than 1 bedroomed, plus you always have the option for renting a room out should you find it tough going financially at any time in the future.
Think carefully before making your final decision. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
I have never heard of a quarter house/flat. Are there any links to ones to take a look at?0

As the current owner has moved in with their partner, it indicates that the flat isnt big enough for 2 people.
What if you meet someone and decide to live together, this flat may not be big enough......
I would also go for a 2bed every time over a 1 bed.
Perhaps it is a bargain due to the length of the lease..... if it is leasehold?0 -
I think this is a cluster home, built in blocks of 4. V popular in late 80s to late 90s, but because of land shortage superseded by apartments. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
