How to repot a huge cactus?

Hi All
Thanks in advance for any advice you could give me.... the time has come to repot my huge cactus... does anyone have any tips on how to do it without harmimg the cactus or harming myself?

If it's spikey then wrap it in a bath towel.

I re-potted one once and used a thick 'sausage' of newspaper as a sort of handle - the roots don't go down very far and it was quite easy to lift. Depends how big yours is I suppose!
