Can't get a new 0% Card

in Credit cards
Hi there,
I'm really frustrated! I want to transfer my Egg balance onto a new 0% CC and I have been turned down for 3 cards in the passed 2 days. Now I am panicked that I have these credit card searches on my record. What I don't understand is that my credit score is high with Experian, my payments are all on time I have been with my employer & bank for years and lived in my private rented flat for 3 years. Marbles for instance didn't do a credit reference check but said I failed to score high enough even though a friend applied who earns half of what I do got one no problems! I have a decent salary so I puzzled what's going on. Have the banks clicked onto the switching of cards? If anyone can post some thoughts/advice I'd be grateful.
xx

it has been increasingly more difficult to get a 0% deal with no bt charge and the last fiasco i had with the hsbc am considering ending the stoozing when that runs out so you are not alone and will soon be joined by the army of us that will be in the same position shortly at least if you have been stringent with your money then if all else fails then you can pay off the debt and loose the free interest

Thanks that does help. My OH reckons the same and it's because they are clamping down on people like me applying. I have 3 credit cards I juggle the money around with now, I am hoping by the time the 0% ends on Egg I can transfer it to one of my other cards if they'll do a deal for their best customer
Just be gutted as used to low interest but have to make the most of it till it ends.
