Toddler Duvet

We are just about to turn our son's cot into a bed, as he keeps getting his legs stuck in the bars! I was just wondering though where to get a smaller, child-size duvet and pillow - the single ones look to big! Thanks

Ikea sells them far cheaper than I have seen anywhere else, & duvet covers too.

The thing to do is to buy a regular sized duvet and cover because they are so much cheaper and there is more choice, especially if the room is themed and you want to buy two covers. Also the 'cot' duvets are usually lighter in weight. Fine for summer, but not really good enough for colder months.

Then instead of putting the duvet lengthways on the bed as normal, put it across the bed. The weight of the duvet hanging down on each side keeps it on the bed better, even better if one side is jammed against a wall. Unless you have a bed guard the smaller duvets just fall onto the floor all the time and cold children tend to wake up - not good!

Also it means that you can make the bed in the morning and it'll look much much nicer. As your child grows you won't have to replace the duvet, just keep it round the 'normal' way.

Just an idea but how about a light weight quilt ie summer one then do as trynsave has said. Advantage of this is that it goes easily in your washing machine. Ideal for any little accidents.
