    Dear Sir/Madam,

You may recall that you recently provided parental consent for your child to access the Fruit Shoot website. As part of this registration you opted-in to receive updates from Fruit Shoot and provided your name and email address. This data was stored by an external agency on our behalf.

Regrettably, your first and last name and your email address were included and, while we have taken immediate action to ensure that this data has been removed from the internet and from the agency’s database, there is a small possibility that you may receive unsolicited email as a result. No children’s details were held in the database.

We are treating this matter very seriously and have ordered a full and thorough investigation.

To reassure you, we only hold personal data, where people chose to opt-in, so that we can keep them up-to-date with latest developments and offers on Fruit Shoot. We fully comply with all elements of the data protection act and should you wish to continue to receive information from us, please be assured that your details will be held within a high security environment.
