Do u guys remember on the previous Thread 4/5, most of us applied for Lloyds Grosman sauce, did any of you get it? I didn't.

Speak of the devil & it turns up today. Got 1 coupon worth £1.87 hopefully will get another one @ home. :j

compliment slip states this offer is limited to only 1 per household, so any further applications you submitted wont be processed. Stingy!

    oops! Upsy already posted.

  • I'm off to the GFS on Saturday and will let everyone know how I get on after I come back. Going to take three children with me so im sure we will be able to do some damage, to say the least. I suppose the GFS is one of the only perks of living in Brum as im only about 20 minutes drive from the NEC!!.

Hi. Had a great shop last night at Mr Ts. Spent £30.46 but a multibuy saving brought this down to £29.90. Handed over my pile of 33 MOCs (the most ever for me I think!). The lovely young SA inspected each one for the date (all ok obviously!) and scanned the Morrisons one first (£5 off, although technically I was 10p short of the £30 spend but I hadn't noticed the last multibuy reduction cos I was too busy chatting away like you do. I think it's nerves in case they reject your coupons ).

An Old Trout called over from the desk:-

OT: "Are you ok with those?".
    SA: "Yes, fine"
OT: "Remember its 50% maximum" (this rule depends on which supervisor is on duty at the time!).
    SA: "OK"

Oh well, I thought... it's still £15 off in total. Can't complain... Then I got my Tesco credit card out to pay thinking "I'll have the points then".

Watched as SA then went through the whole pile of MOCs, even typing in the codes for a couple that wouldn't scan (tried the hand held scanner too, bless him!). He then quietly said "That's 85 pence please" :D.

OMG - heart was racing then...Credit card was swiftly put away and replaced with a £1 coin! Didn't want the points cos then they can trace you!! Accepted the change and hurried out the store with son in tow and heart still pounding.

BUT then I spent the next couple of hours feeling guilty and hoping the SA wasn't going to get into trouble!! I haven't done anything wrong I know but it's quite stressful this couponing lark isn't it!!

This morning, post was delivered early and had 2 letters from Lloyd Grossman - one with a cheque for £1.87 in full refund because the children didn't like one of the sauces (true... but I'm sure it was only 81p when I bought it!) and a 50p off coupon to entice us to try another variety. :j

The second letter (in other half's name) had a coupon for a free jar of sauce worth £1.87 (we actually liked that sauce!)

The last bit of post was from Wrights Baking Club which I signed up to 2 days ago online www.wrightsflour.co.uk . No MOC but a nice recipe book/calendar combined (10 recipes using their bread & cake mixes).

Not a bad 24 hours really!! Going to go to the GFS on Sunday - can anyone going today or tomorrow please advise if there are still plenty of MOCs around to make it worthwhile going? Thanks x

I got my Wrights Baking Club stuff today and there is a 30p MOC in it. Look on the back of the very small page next to the FAQ'S on the leaflet.
