By the seaside, nice fishy & chippy... also BS can go fishing for trouts. Open up a small stall - freshly caught trouts next to GFS. Who knows BS might make real monies as well as collecting coupons at the show.

Hi folks! I'm sorry I don't have much time to chat but thought I'd report back on our (daughter went with me) trip to the Good Food Show. It was a brilliant day! We made out like bandits!!:j We both ended up with £571.50 worth of coupons from the Good Food Show and to top off the day, as we were leaving the NEC and driving towards home, I spied a Garden Centre!;) Well you know we had to stop to look for coupons and just as we decided to give up looking for them and started to walk towards the door I saw the display so called to my daughter to turn around and come back and help me grab coupons. We took them all!:D:D We ended up with £75 worth each!! Anyone going to the Good Food Show tomorrow, go outside to the Garden Show, there is a Ricola stand where they give you 3 samples of their cough drops and a leaflet with a 25p coupon in it. Also keep going back to the Carte Dor ice cream stand as not only is the ice cream yummy but there are loads of 30p coupons on the counter and it is really easy to grab loads of them!;) Well I must go start cutting coupons ready to use!!!!:T:T

well done sher, I Was also at the good food show yesterday, and managed to bag a few coupons. This is the 1st time hubby and I have ever been, so dont think I got as many as Sher (probably nowhere near).......was totally knackered, got home at 11pm so was unable to post last night!!! Only had 3 hrs sleep the night b4. Still not managed to count how many coupons I've got yet as had to come on here let you folks know....will try to make this post a quick one as i have a zillion things to do!!!!

5 mins after entering the show and collecting our booklets of coupons, we sat down. This woman (from birmingham)who was seated next to us asked us where else we could use the coupons inside the little booklet. Obviously i said mr.t's and she claimed they were really clamping coupons in t's in b'ham as it was so popular. Apparantly couponing in b'ham is notorious....i was so tempted to ask her if she was our lovely sher from here......but then chickened out - didn't want to make a fool of myself!!! :rotfl:

Anyway, jules has covered more or less all the best coupon stands on here. Just to let folks know there is a 50p coupon on the reggae, reggae sauce stand - think they only put out 1 at a time. We bought some pomegranite juice and found coupon inside bag for £1, but none on the stall itself (they only give you if you buy the product).

If anyone has the good food magazine, cut out the "entry to subscriber lounge", I did and we both had entry in (upto 10 ple allowed). Maybe you all can meet up as gill suggested and get in, get to know one another. The hot drinks you have to buy but the freebies include bottled mineral water, chocolates, poppy/tomato/chilli seeds for the garden, very good quality crisps - you can help yourself to as many as you want!!! If you dont have the coupon to this lounge, i would recommend you subscribe there and then (its £1 for 3 issues)...hold on let me check the exact details.... ok, its the g.f magazine, july issue bottom of p.136 is the coupon. Unsubscribe at any time after that.......

So much sampling you can try, I actually felt sick towards the end of the day.

Please watch out for pickpockets as there were police roaming around.....at one point I felt like a sardine in a tin coz everyone was just so squashed up against each other trying to get past. Be careful, watch out for your handbags, wallets, purses....n all other valubles

The carte d'or stand - was really funny as me and hubby were stood there having that lovely flavour icecream, a woman came up to the counter, bagged herself a very generous bunch of coupons and left. The sales lady was gobsmacked - she turned around to her boss and said did you c that? there's another one. that lady in the blue just grabbed all the coupons, why would anyone do that? what she gonna do with them all? ...they do that to pay their bills, gas bills and all said he.....me and hubby chuckled to one another. Hmmm, now i wonder who the lady was who grabbed those coupons! lol!!!

did not managed to get any of the kellogs coupons as they were all gone!!! so hubby politely asked the lady at the counter and she gave us 1.

did not find any mocs in the garden section - but got "the cooks garden planner" - which folds out. lovely to put in the kitchen - i will be giving mine to my friend who actually grows all her own veg.. lots of useful advice on there.

almost forgot to pick up my goodie bag as was so excited to get inside, i totally disregarded the goodie bag stand located on the right side of the main entrance. It was only when we were heading bk waiting for the shuttle bus which took forever that I found it and it was not manned by anyone. Asked the security who was managing the q if i n hubby could have one and she gave us 1 each - bless her. Was so tempted to go bk and pick more up, had it not been the 40 odd ple stood in the q with us. Could have managed to pick up a box each!!! Ooohh how silly of me!!! never saw it until then and must have past it a couple of times!

1 more tip: if you leave the show after 6, there are no parking charges to pay. Unfortunately we had already paid, but when we got back to the car park, saw the shutters were closed and the barrier was lifted up! Ahhh, so annoyed with myself as could have saved £8. oh well, it was def. a learning experience for me. Oh, and make sure you make a mental note of the car park or you will be lost (we got lost). Also, we were parked in car park E4 - very far from the entrance.

Pick up queue for tkts was massive but moved very quickly. Dont buy they tkts on the day as they cost £22.50!!!

Last but not least, I would like to give a big hug and say thank you to pink princess from this forum who so kindly gave us her tickets to use on thurs in these money tight times....she truly is a star......:kisses3:xxxxxxxx
