PC problem - can anyone help??

Hey guys, just wondered if anyone could shed some light on whats going on with my PC? Since about 2 weeks ago, my PC kept crashing, the start menu and My Computer window became weird as if i was in safe mode, the computer would not recognise anything plugged into the USB ports, including the internet connection, and wont let me click on applications, such as Add New Hardware, or most things on the control panel.

Does anyone know whats wrong and how to fix this, or at least let the computer recognise my USB memory stick so i can at least save my music??

If anyone can help i will be very grateful!

    Can you see anything in the event logs?

    Click start, goto Run and type eventvwr and press error, copy and past and frequent red errors or yellow warnings

    UPDATE and FULL SCAN
    Post the log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds


    reboot

    Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')

    Click DO A SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE (Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
    (do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)
