I hope this is a good place to put this
My son has asked for a DSi for Christmas, and I am just wonderinh whether it is worth forking out for one when he already has a DS. Is there any difference, and can he play his other DS games on the DSi?
TIA

I think you can play most DS games on the DSi. From what I can tell its a little bit faster, has a camera, connects to an online store and has a fingerprint-free finish.0

I got my kid a DSi for her birthday and it's much more fun than the DS Lite. She can take pictures and photoshop them, record and playback stuff in funny voices and does stuff online (but keeps asking me for money to buy things - how about no!) as well as play all of her games. So, personally, I'd go for it.0
