Have a daewoo 20" as a 2nd TV, its 2yrs old. Recently the sound has deteriorated. The voices sound fuzzy. There is no way to alter the audio, apart from bass/treble. Any ideas if it could be corrected?

turn down treble and turn up bass
may off set the distortion a bit
apart from that
you probably need work doing to it and new speakers maybe
probs cheaper to get a new tv at todays pricesBack by no demand whatsoever.0 -
Your right on the edge for parts obsolescence there, most manufacturers now make their parts obsolete beyond 2yrs. This basically illuminates the repairs industry (TV repair shops) and forces the purchase of new TV's.
Your fault sounds like the low end amp (output stage) has gone up the swanny, or the speaker itself has had it. You might get lucky and find its repairable, the speaker would be easier to get hold of than the output stage.
Have you considered trying external speakers to see if it's just a faulty speaker on the TV itself?“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Thanks guys. I'll have a fiddle around with it today & try an external speaker. Its shocking that TV's are considered disposable after only 2yrs. It hasn't even been used that much either. Even our main TV is playing up but we think we know what the problem is. We have Sky & the picture sometimes freezes as though the signal is interrupted. Hubby went to check the dish & found a pidgeon nesting behind it. We don't have the heart to remove it though.:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0

You should be safe to move the nest now, they should have flown the coop by now - unless they're late developers!
Have you checked your scart lead hasn't slipped out a bit, sometimes that can affect the sound?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Just double check that you haven't got the sound set to Mono.0
