hiya
well my old canon inkjet printer is knackered, myfault really, because i thought it was old and decided to fit cheap inks instead of the usual £40 quid a set canon ones.
I know some people say compatible are ok, and i guess it depends on your luck and what printer your putting them in.
Anyway can anyone recommend a printer that doesnt cost a fortune when it comes to replacing the inks - genuine inks
I only use the printer really to print out websites, cvs and occasionally photos
thanks

The Kodak range of printers are a little more expensive initially, but the inks are £6.99 for the black, £9.99 for the colour...and they last longer than a lot of other brands cartridges.
Only downside I've seen so far is the odd bit of dodgy manufacturing (e.g. some hadn't been put together properly)

No such thing.
I've been refilling my canon cli-8 ink carts for two years now.0 -
The way printers seem to be going, you either buy:
A dead cheap one where the ink costs a fortune.
Or
An expensive one where the ink costs half the price.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Epson printers are generally your best bet. They are not the cheapest but are reasonably priced and compatible cartridges can be found cheaply from ebay or a local independant computer shop.0

I also have an Epson SX600FW and have found problems with it guzzling ink for basic document printing.I used to be indecisive, but now I am not quite sure...........:undecided0 -

I'd be a bit cautious about the Kodak printers. Yes the inks are cheap (and that is their main selling point). However, my ESP 5 fell apart after six weeks and the dreaded PC World just swapped it for a different make with the comment that they had now had nearly all of the ones they sold returned. :rolleyes:0 -

Do you want colour?
If not, I bought a HP Laserjet 4L off of ebay for £20. You can find compatible toner cartridges cheap and the print quality is great.0 -
