Weedol 1 Hour Weedkiller

I just bought Weedol 1 Hour Weedkiller for £3.99 at Wilkinsons. The spraygun has a cardboard collar offering £1.50 cash back. You just fill in your details on the inside of the collar and enclose the receipt with the item circled. Offer valid until 31.12.10 and it doesn't say you can only apply once.

They had this in Asda too and I think it was only £3.50 but can't be certain. Worth a look if you are going to buy it anyway, just seem to remember thinking it was only £2 after cashback.

Once you have tried it can you let me know if it does the job as I dont want a wasted journey to town unless it actually does what it says Lol:D

Hi i used weedol in my garden last year but it was the sachet one you mix with water that kills weeds for up to 6 months. it was excellent and was better than expected i didn't have any regrowth of weeds anywhere and trust me my garden was wild lol so im guessing the spray one will be just as good i would defo recommend.

I used this stuff (same deal from Wilkinsons) about a month ago. The weeds on my patio looked like they were dying after treatment but they're back just as strong as before.

I won't be using the one hour stuff again.

    Best wishes, Neil

I've just started to look at buying weedkiller. I need lots and I've been staggered by the price of it, especially the small volume trigger sprays.

In the past, I was given a tub of Sodium Chlorate, which is mixed with water and worked a treat. It lasted for ages and was about £10 a tub IIRC. No idea where to buy it now though, but that would be my recommendation.

Does this kill weeds at the root?
If it doesn't then they will just come back.

One brand that kills them from the root is roundup.
No connection but interest in doing as little gardening as possible.

I have just bought a kilo of sodium chlorate for £2.99, (local garden centre) It treats 100 sq m.

I have always used it, works the same as all those branded rip off weed killers, It is non selective so kills everything.

And yes it kills the root and should prevent anything regrowing in the treated area for about 6 months
