Hi fizzel81,
Just a point about the debts, I'm not sure but I think I read on another thread somewhere that you have to declare all your debts to Paypal, to include the Capital One, Kays and Additions.
On the thread I read, I think Payplan ended the DMP for the poster as she hadn't declared all her debts to them, so, declare the lot just in case.
Hope this helps.

Can only re-iterate (sp) what Justin has said.
Don't go in with the attitude that you can handle the small debts by yourself. This is normally the main reason for failed DMP's! Not just because the debt management company found out and cancelled the agreement but because these debts kept increasing and in the end people couldn't afford to pay them!
Declare EVERY single penny you owe!

I seem to remember, although it is a bit patchy, that Payplan or CCCS when they set up a DMP they come to an agreement with all the creditors that they will all be paid either the same amount or on a percentage basis( can't remember which). If you try to manage some of the debts yourself this would contravene the agreement between Payplan/CCCs and the creditors.
Of course they can check very easily with the credit reference agencies as to how many creditors you have.
Hope this all makes sense.
Regards JC0 -
Yes you must declare everything. I have a DMP with Payplan and they were absolutley clear that I had to include it all even though I owe some creditors much more than others.Total debt May 2005 £83,232

just reading thru and it seems our debt is around same as yours. could you give a newbie ms a few tips on where to start?
It all blew up in our face when oh business were fiddled out of a payment and the remortgaging etc became a burden. I have been kept in the dark by oh for many a month but through perseverance and insistance have managed to uncover just what a mess we are in - wrecked havoc with health and relnship. but we are pulling it together, slowly and would really appreciate any tips
thanks!0 -
Start by giving Payplan a call. You will need to know all your incomings and outgoings and they will do a budget for you, which is tight but not impossible. They will then advise on the best course of action. You can have a debt management plan (DMP), an IVA or bankruptcy (not an option for me cos I would lose my job). I have a DMP which means that Payplan contacted all my creditors, gave them copies of my budget, details of income etc and then came to arrangements with them all for me. I have to make one payment a month to Payplan and then they dish it out pro rata to all my creditors. They are really very good and non judgemental. I would highly recommend them.Total debt May 2005 £83,232
