Lloyds TSB Collections Dept

Hi, i was about to go through the MSE advice regarding bank charges for someone I support, as he is on a low income and is being charged more and more by Lloyds TSB for his unuathorised overdraft. When we went to see someone at the bank, we were told it has now been moved to their Collections Dept which means only phone contact. My customer was not informed of this and had received no other communicaton from the bank. So, I phoned this department, and I was informed it has now been passed onto an external debt agency. We were not informed of this either. So, we are expecting a letter within the next week or so, which will probably involve bailiffs Im guessing. Can anyone advise if we can still go down the bank charges reclaim route now it is at this stage? My customer will struggle to pay this off, and the reason I was brought in to support him was he was referred as a vulnerable adult. Why are Lloyds TSB going down this route, and not informing their customers until its too late? Is it to ensure they get even some of their unfair charges back- especially as MSE has helped so many others reclaim? Id be very grateful for some advice on where I can go from here. Many thanks.
