uncoiling plastic pipe

I have a 25m coil of 22mm barrier pipe that I need to straighten out - not pretty-straight, but at least enough to stop it springing out of a line of pipe clips. Anyone know how to do this please?

Don't use a heat gun, you can damage it and won't know.
I've never got it straight from the reel, so I only use it where it won't be seen, then switch back to copper.
I usually get it clipped in ok though, gently feed it where it should go, and don't force it or you can kink it. Clip near the connectors so there's no stress, then it eventually takes up the line it should, after it been in for a while.
Oh, and clip it so it tries to spring sideways, not up or down, and it stays in the clips better.0 -
Thanks for the suggestions, will give them a try.0

I laid it out in the garden in a straight line with both ends secured - after a few days it seemed to lose most of its memory of having been coiled up, and is now quite easy to handle. I'll use captive pipe clips though - thanks for that idea :j0
