Floor adhesive for concerete floor and vinyl tiles?

To put things in a nutshell, I wanted to put some vinyl (?) floor tiles onto the concrete floor. But some aren't sticking down, only about 10.

Is there a cheap way of gluing them down, effectively?

did you prime the floor with SBR primer?

F-ball do a floor adhesive suitable for vinyl.Only do a sqm at a time as its fast setting

It was done as cheaply as possible, because it's not my house (privately rented) - so no, no primer was used.

In hindsight, maybe I should have done.

the concrete would have been dusty, you cant expect anything to stick to dust!

Even a cheap tub of diluted PVA would have been better that nothing

Yeah...the floor must be primed first if anything can be stuck to it. Then, depending on the type of vinyl tile you are using, a standard multi purpose flooring adhesive should do the trick - look for F3 adhesive from F Ball & Co, or Morley JM400. If the product is Karndean, I recommend you buy their own adhesive, but it is quite pricey.

If the floor is not prepared properly and the adhesive is substandard, your floor will be shot in no time. Sorry!
