    Hi,

I used Windows Plus about 4 years ago and they were great and reasonably priced. You could also consider AstraFrame. They are a manufacturer, but they have a showroom and also can recommend someone to fit them and even measure up for you. I have got window prices from them recently and have been competitively priced.

I just had mine done by Amber - good job and price.

I also looked at Castle and a couple of independents. We went with amber as i liked the frames more than Castle etc.

We used Windows Plus for our doors - was very impressed. No pushy sales people - we have been caught out with those before, refusing to leave the house etc!

The workmen were efficient and cleaned up after themselves. Prices were good too.

Thanks for all comments so far.

Are Amber a local company, I was hoping to use a local company but when I searched for Amber it seems they have offices all over and a few bad reviews.

As a previous poster says i dont want pushy sales people but I am looking at getting about 3 quotes.

Amber home improvements are local, based at Stratton Strawless - i think there are a few other companies using the amber name.

I did not have any Pushy salesman, deliberately avoided the big names famous for it ! Overall i have been very pleased with them, from initial contact to having windows fitted and the quality of install/product.

    hi everyone,

sorry to "hijack" this thread but does anyone know of any good companies in or near norwich that does cheap but good quality front doors, back doors, and secondary glazing for sash windows?

i was gonna pop into astra frame on friday to take a look at their stuff but was wondering how competitive thier prices are, and if anyone knows any other good places to contact.

in particular im interested in a victorian style glazed front door and thin but good quality seconday sash style windows for the front of my house.

any opinions would be greatly appreciated. thanks everyone.

    Adrian
