Martin,
In your article on cheap calls (see below), you remind us to ignore the hype from skype, but I just use Yahoo Messenger for my voice and video calls to my mates in Malaysia, the USA and elsewhere without any problems and it's FREE! Shouldn't we be shouting about them?
Chris
"Talk PC to PC. Are you and the person you're calling near the internet?
This is the easiest system, you'll both need a headset with a microphone that you can plug into the PC, they can be picked up for less than a tenner, or get a phone handset you plug in to do the same job. Then simply download free software such as Skype or Sipphone, connect to each other and start talking for no charge, apart from your standard internet fees that is."

yes. We use yahoo too. but there are several apps out there to use. Martin did list Skype and Sipphine, but his list would have been much longer if he added them all in.0
