Tesco has anyone else noticed this

We shop at Tesco every week. except this week we went else where. over the past month or two we have noticed their own brand medium sliced loaf the slices are cut very thin the top crust is just about non existent and with them been thinner they break up and fall apart if you don't hold them in a certain manner. Their own in store cobs/baps pack of 6 have halved in size but remained at the current price and finally their lo sugar lo salt baked beans have got more juice and less beans now.
We have noticed these differences because for the past year that is where we have done our weekly shop. I was thinking of writing to Tesco but not sure if i would get a reply or not.
Surely if these supermarkets think they can pull a fast one over it's customers they will loose them as they have with us. We went to Netto today and got everything we needed

Tesco changed their own brand bread suppliers last year. I agree the quality just isn't as good as they were before.0

Yes - the bread is rubbish lately - we have bought some with skinny slices and full of holes as well. O/h was going to take a loaf back the other day because it was so poor (and he NEVER even thinks of returning stuff and complaining!!). I've gone back to buying a quality 50/50 type loaves and I won't buy Tesco bread now.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Tesco Finest bread didn't change suppliers so at least that stuff will still be decent quality.0

No quality control at Tesco then? Why do they think that people who are trying to control their weekly spend should have to put up with rubbish bread, etc just because they want to resource their supplier, or for any other reason?
I have always been loyal to Tesco, but I too have noticed a decline in the quality of their own brands, and a marked increase in the price of everything else.

we have stopped buying cut loaves now...even buying a made up bread mix (less time consuming *sigh*) to go in the bread maker is cheaper and much nicer!Good Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!

i went into tesco for the first time in ages the other wek..bought some of the bread and yes i noticed that it is now disgusting. very thin, horrible taste and also goes off very quickly0
-
so tesco is 'brown bread'
tesco is getting very dear and poor value i find i only go there occasionally for the points. they stopped their own brand wash .up liquid i litre 29p p/herbs in plastic container 23p cheapest now 59p . Lots of other value range products are either smaller or have less in the pack.
i get veg on the market about a third the cost of tesco and go to lidl/aldi for the rest.0 -
Tesco 'store' baked bread has always been dry and crumby and their other bread pretty much the same. Don't know why, other supermarkets aren't the same.
The new 'discounter' products are all awful though - I think Tesco seems to be returning to its origins - cheap and nasty.0
