Planning required???????

Hi - am looking to take a window out of my kitchen and the wall below it to make double doors into the garden.
Do you need planning permission to smash out the wall underneath a window and make it into a double door opening. I have looked on the planning portal and it doesn't really mention adding new windows or making existing openings bigger?
Any help would be appreciated!

Not sure, don't think you do - but I think you do need building control approval for fitting the window/door unless you are fensa registered.0

Not unless there are any restrictive conditions on previous planning permissions at your property - it's highly unlikely to require planning permission.0

I hope not - we did the same thing a few weeks ago and didn't ask anyone, we just did it
We're taking out our old back door (on the side of the house), bricking it up and putting a window in. We didn't ask about that either. The window is bought, the bricks are piled up ready, just waiting for my brother to turn up :rolleyes:Bulletproof0
