I have £600. What should I do?

I've have £600 and would like to make it into more money. Any ideas? I have a full time job so it'd need to fit in around that, but would love to be a little creative with it. Something like Around the world in 80 trades!

Either that or buy a new laptop...

Do you have any interest in food etc? Could invest in making produce for a farmers' market...

How about matched betting? There's lots of info on this available on the boards.

Matched betting might be the thing - do lots of reading & research about it first and ask questions over on the board on MSE so you are not risking your money.

Other than that - it usually best to go with something you already have an interest in. Maybe you could look to buy something in bulk and sell it in smaller quantities for more money (so more like the around the world in 80 trades) but stick to something you have some knowledge of the value of already.

I was thinking of buying some strawberries and cream and selling them locally at an event. Not sure if I could sell £600 worth though!

Hi Alex - look at the Make £10 a day thread for ideas on how to make more money and the Gambling loopholes thread. I can't get my head round matched betting but I can get my head round joining a cashback site and getting paid £20 for a £10 stake. So basically you join the bingo site thro the cashback site, deposit and wager £10 - ignore the bonus money as winnings generally are not withdrawable. Then in a couple of months time the cashback site gives you your £20 or whatever it is.

there is also an up your income board - and ideas for cottage industries with low start up costs eg ironing from home etc....

Good luck - don't bet on a whim as some posters suggested above that would be really foolish. True matched betting is about betting both directions at the same time usually thro different companies so that either result you win....

The price of wholesale strawberries aint as good as it was previously and unless you have cows will be buying the cream at retail price.

Put it in a tin, or add more money to it?
