Hi, my boys original PS3 has recently been replaced because it kept freezing. The 'new' reconditioned one has, infact, been even worse and freezes after about 45 minutes of use.
My boys share the PS3 and I limit their use. They are allowed 45 mins each when they get home from schoool and then maybe another 1/2 hr once home work is done. It is the swap over time that seems to be the most difficult. When the first boy signs out then the second boy can't sign in everything freezes up, internet can't be detected, games can't be played and often the PS3 can't even be turned off by the controller.
Have we done something wrong for 2 PS3 to mess up or is it bad luck?
any help would be fab
TIA

does the PS3 have good airflow around it (ie not in a confined space)?
when it freezes, do you hold the power button until it beeps or switch it off via the switch on the back?0 -

It is sitting on the bottom shelf of a wooden TV stand all by itself. It has about 12" above it before the next shelf and 2 ft either side and 12" behind.
The boys hold the power button down to turn it off but often it won't turn off using the controller. They have been really careful with the console as they bought it with their own money.
Thanks for the help
