Morrissons Child Safety Superstars.

On Saturday, my little lad disappeared win the fruit and veg section of Morrissons.

I called his name loudly, as I made my way, back to the entrance doors; where i accosted a member of staff with the words, 'excuse me, my little boy's lost.'

She immediately called to Customer Services, asking for all floor management to be called urgently.

The customer services operator immediately did so, and within seconds staff appeared from all directions. The original staff member sent staff to each entrance door, and another to the toilets, the others all went in different directions.

Myself and my children stayed where we were instructed to remain, and prayed as hard as we could.

My 4 year old, red headed boy, dressed entirely in khaki was returned to me within a few minutes.

I thanked them for the impressive display, and one manager confided that she was beginning to feel concerned, as children are normally found much quicker.
He said he was hiding behind the Playstation games (v good at hiding it seems).

Anyhoo, they were marvelous, and deserve for everyone to know.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

  • Glad your boy was found safe. Having "misplaced" one of my boys in a shop when he was younger, I know how easy it is to get into a panic.

Have you written a thank you letter to the manager? A note to head office would probably also not go amis.

Am dropping a card into customer services tomorrow, thanking all staff, and yes, I have contacted head office - credit where it's due.
