Hi all? Just a quicky.
Firstly do you need to have a good credit rating to open a savings account?
Secondly, if a credit report shows no activity (nothing on it), will I still be able to apply for a savings account?
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Savings accounts are not generally credit scored, they will however undertake an ID check via you credit file, so being on the electoral roll is essentialdebtdestroyer* wrote:Hi all? Just a quicky.

Essential, but not necessary. There are other ways to prove ID and address.file_wizzard wrote:... being on the electoral roll is essential0 -
Hi thanks for the replies, think what I'll do is wait til June time then apply, this way the default would have been removed from his credit report and his name would have been back on the electorol for 3 months.
Thanks for your help.0
