Another date question!!
I bought some pork reared sausages from Sainsburys, taste the difference. I didnt think i was going to use them before the best before date, so the day before they went out of date i froze them. Im now being told by people that if you intend to freeze things you're supposed to do it a few days before. Should i bin these sausages?

No, they will be OK as long as you use them on the day that you defrost them.
I often buy things reduced on the expiry date and freeze them.
It is of course better if you freeze them ahead of the best before date, but they shouldn't harm you.0 -
They'll be fine. I often buy things with short dates, and just chuck em in the freezer. If Im feeling extra virtuous, then il cook them, and then freezeKent Bird!:beer:0

Lol @ the dogs - my two stare until i feel guilty and give in to them
The younger one is like a dustbin and steals anything that is below waist height.
I freeze lots of things just to get them out of the way or my food bill would be ten times what it is now
