Car Insurance NCD Question

My car insurance is coming up for renewal.
I have received the renewal from my present insurance company who states the my new claim discount is now 60%. I have had insurance for 30+ years and never made a claim. I have been shopping around for different quotes and some companies are asking for the no claim discount in years.
So how does my 60% NCD work in these applications?

60% is the discount that your current insurance company is offering you, other companys will offer a different percentage discount for you superb 30 years with no claim. It is the number of years without a claim whilst having insurance which is relevant. So shop around and plug the years into the websites. Some companies may offer more than 60% discount but it could still cost you more as the standard policy price could be more expensive. I do know that Liverpool Victoria for example will offer more than 60%, but it is the details of the policy that you should look at and the final price to pay when making comparisons.0

Thank you for your information.
One question if I did choose to go with another insurance company how do I prove that I have many years of no claims? The only proof that I currently have is my renewal letter with this 60% figure. So I presume that I just put the max years on the new application?0 -
They may ask you to send your renewal notice to them. But I get the impression that all these insurance companies have access to common info/database , might be wrong on that one , perhaps someone out there can confirm or otherwise.0

Your years without a claim doesn't mean too much as far as NCD is concerned.
If you make a claim (and don't have protected NCD), then irrespective of the number of claim free years you have, your discount would drop down from thew max by two stages to the equivalent of 3 years NCD.0
