Another caller from the DFW daily chat.
Your dress is stunning and I can't believe how reasonable the range is, nevermind the bargain you got off Ebay
I had expected you to say that the dress was around £1500.
Not yet checked what your kilt looks like Doomy, I've just had my tea and I don't want to be scared by nobbly kneesOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -

thank you all guys for all your nice messages...
Maz - hes certainly one of a kind! haha
whatatwit - i know i was expecting to pay more, but it was the one I wanted and I figured then I could use the rest of the dress budget for other things. It is beautiful and the genuine article, still got the designer tags on and everything.
mrshaigh - I havent got any pictures of my actual dress just yet, its at OHs dads house just now as he has more space and 2 less cats! but ive got to go up there and get it hung up properly so ill try and get some pictures in the next few days.time for some sleep now i think since ive been up for the majority of the last 24 hours (half an hour sleep last night before I went out the door)

Personally i think it's far too soon to be making decisions on your Wedding, styles change and certainly will be a lot different in 3 years time. I have had 5 months to prepare mine and i've changed my bridesmaids dresses twice!
A dress that looks fab now will look outdated in 3 years time and I guarantee you'll change your mind. I would start thinking about your Wedding a year in advance but certainly not 3 years. Start saving though, that's a good ideaEnvy is the most stupid of vices, for there is no single advantage to be gained from it.:A0 -

fair point, but i'd disagree - we know what the venue is like an unlikely to change, and wedding dresses are timeless - unless its one of these ones with silly huge puffy shoulders.
also, i'd say now is the perfect time to plan things - get a good idea of what we want and where to get it and ultimatly how much it costs, will stand us in good steed for when it actually comes to purchase, meaning less faffing about and hence, less stress.

ok so, today im happy, we went to the venue, handed over the plastic and made it official.
£500 lighter and a date to call our own and we're happy (well i am anyway)
so we headed down to OHs gran to break the news (think Marie from Everybody loves Raymond) she had to know before anyone else incase news travelled back that we hadnt told her first!
I took a few photos of my dress tonight so ill hopefully get them posted over the next day or 2 when I get a chance.
